" Arial; "Steve, or Marsh as he was known to his family, was born on April 7, 1934 in Detroit, the son of the late Marshall and Irene (nee: Kish) Francis. " Arial; "He is survived by Colleen, his loving wife of 55 years; nine children: Maureen (Mark) Bozeman, Kathleen (Scott) Bean, Brian (Melissa) Francis, Patricia (Rocky) Walker, Eileen (Bob) Goble, Margaret (Sean) Cobb, Molly (Bryan) Tilley, James (Mollie) Francis and Michael (Holly) Francis; 32 treasured grandchildren and his brother Dennis (Carmie) Francis. " Arial; He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy (Ronald) Rozman. He was the proud American host-father to Joseniede, Jose, Mune " Arial; "and " Arial; "Lincoln. " Arial; "Steve graduated from St Ambrose High School in 1952. " Arial; "After attending GMI, he began a 42-year career as a designer for General Motors. " Arial; "He and Colleen moved their family to Ortonville in 1968, embracing the wonderful community and enjoying the many special friendships they developed. " Arial; "Steve was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St Anne Catholic Church. " Arial; "He was a devoted Detroit Tiger fan and celebrated every U of M football victory. He enjoyed many years of bowling and playing softball and coached several Ortonville youth recreation ball teams as well as his GM Team. " Arial; "He was admired for his artistic talents, but life for Steve was about the song. " Arial; "He had a song for every occasion and every situation. " Arial; "He sang with the Chrysler Imperials, was a member of the St Anne
