GONZALES, SIMON, age 77 of Waterford, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He was born on December 5, 1944 in Poteet, Texas to parents Luis and Ines Gonzales. Simon retired from GM after 40 years of dedicated service. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching football and boxing, and he loved listening to the blues. Simon is survived by his children: Anthony Gonzales, Lydia Rosario, Ricardo (Jackelyn) Gonzales, and Lisa (Michael) Paramo; grandchildren: Andrea (Tomy), Madelina (Josh), Jorge (Victoria) Desiree, Miguel, Alejandra, Mariano, and Maricela; nine great grandchildren; siblings: Mary, Cristina (Mark), Maria Elena (Daniel) and Esteban (Cindy); sister-in-law, Irma; several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by both parents; loving wife of 45 years, Olga Sue; siblings: Ramona, Marcelina, and Jose. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at St. Damien of Molokai Parish – St. Vincent de Paul Church (46408 Woodward Ave., Pontiac). Inurnment at Ottawa Park.
