BUITENDORP, SHIRLEY ANNE, age 83, of Ortonville, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. Shirley was born on January, 20, 1938 to parents Harley Abernathy and Thelma Driscol. Devoted wife of the late William Edward Pettibone for 53 years; proud mother of the late Linda Pettibone, Sheryl Pettibone, Debra Gilbert, Penni Halicki, and Christina (Jeffrey) Curtis; beloved sister of Ronald (Rosemary) Thomas, the late Robert Abernathy, the late Mary Lou Powers, and the late Richard Thomas. Shirley was also the beloved grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 16. She was also survived by her best friend, Virginia (the late Richard) Greer. Shirley will be remembered for her devotion to God. Shirley was a member of Lakepoint Community Church in Oxford (formerly Christ the King Church) for many years. In her spare time, Shirley loved to spend time with her family and go out to eat with her friends. The family will accept visitors on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON from 4-8PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 5 at Lakepoint Community Church in Oxford (1550 W Drahner Rd, Oxford, MI 48371) at 3PM officiated by Pastor Bob Holt.
