KING, SHARON LEE, of Waterford, passed away on November 13, 2020 at 78 years of age. Born in Pontiac, Michigan on January 3, 1942, daughter of the late Norbert Joseph and Ruth Marjorie Hofman (nee Scott); loving wife of the late Donald Ray King for 41 years; adoring mother of Darrell Scott King, Cynthia Lee Vandervennet and preceded in death by Jeffrey James King; proud grandmother of Amanda, Alexander, Elizabeth, Jacob, Audrey, Aaron and great grandmother of 7; dear sister of Norbert James Hofman. Sharon had a loving and caring soul who lived for her grandchildren and her dog Stella. She married the love of her life Donald on January 14th, 1961. She worked as a teacher's aide for Brandon Schools. In her free time, she enjoyed playing card games like euchre and rummy. The grandchildren's favorite pastime with their grandmother was traveling across country in her Winnebago. They went to almost all 50 states before the age of 18. Sharon's larger than life personality made her a handful but she was always laughing with her family, friends at the American House and anyone fortunate enough to get to know her.
