SALTER, SARAH "SUE" ANN, age 90 of Waterford, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. She was born on December 31, 1932 in West Palm Beach, Florida to parents Elroy and Margaret (Canning) Goodell. She attended the University of Miami on a swimming scholarship and graduated with her degree in teaching. Sue taught in both Florida and then in Pontiac for a few years before a hiatus to raise her children. Once her children were older, she began working for GM at Fisher Body then the Orion Plant. Sue was a faithful member of Unity Church of Lake Orion where she served as a dedicated part of the kitchen clean up crew. She was a positive thinker who found great strength in using affirmations. Sue was a longtime member of Clarkston Village Players and Pontiac Theatre IV for many years. She was also a member of the DAR.  Sue enjoyed reading and loved talking to absolutely anyone – she loved people! Sue will be lovingly remembered by her children: Steve (Paula) Salter, Stuart (Jennifer) Salter, and Jackie Salter; siblings: Richard (Melrita) Goodell and Barbara (Bruce) Benefield; grandchildren: Elisabeth, Theodore, and Tony. She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Jack Nelson Salter.
