ZITTEL, SALLY JEAN, age 93 of Waterford, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. She was born on May 29, 1929 in Detroit to the late John and Enis Reid. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1951 and remained an avid MSU football fan, keeping her season tickets for 60 years. In her earlier years she was a gym teacher. She enjoyed all sports, especially golf and bowling. Sally was a member of her high school social club for over 70 years. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and attending her annual family reunion in the UP for the last 60+ years. More than anything, Sally loved her family and she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Sally is survived by her husband of 63 years, Frederick Zittel; children: John (Linda), Jim (Christine), and Mike (Tiffany); grandchildren: Ryan, Arika (Justin), Alicia, Clay, and Reid; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara (the late Robert). Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 2-5pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. Interment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10am.
