NEGIP, SALLY, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Clarkston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 7, 2023, at 95 years of age. Preceded in death by her wonderful parents, Nevrus and Kile Selfo Aliko, and her loving children, son Phillip Riza Negip and daughter, Sylvia Stevens, and sibling Frances Selfo. Survived by her sister Rose (the late William) Black, son Daniel Negip, grandchildren Mandy (Sam) Majszak and Justin (Averina) Negip, great grandchildren  Zoe, Zane, Isadora, and Phillip, nieces Julia Black and Alexandra Black Wilson, and great nieces, Allonja and Kile. Born in Tremisht, Permët, Albania, Sally came to the United States at the age of 9 to New York City and then to Michigan at age 16 where she later married and raised her family. She owned several businesses in her lifetime, including Deer Lake Travel in Clarkston, and several Palace Restaurants. She was a very active member of the Detroit Albanian Bektashi Community and often helped Albanian families settle here and get a start. Sally was a very strong, loving, and giving woman who will be forever missed by her beloved family and friends. Family will receive friends Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 2-8 PM and Monday, December 11, 2023, 10:30 AM until time of service. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:30 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Memorial donations may be made to the Albanian American Teqe Bektashijane.
