MAKER, RUTH of Waterford, passed away September 7, 2022 at 81 years of age.  Called Ruthie for short by people who knew her best.    Ruth was born October 6, 1940 in Ferndale, Michigan to Frank and Helen Willcock of Troy, Michigan.   Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Lynn Leonard Maker.  Also survived by her two brothers, Jerry (Betty) Willcock and Thomas Willcock.   Loving mother to Ronald (Sally) Maker, Vicki (Mark) Skinner and Rhonda Banfield.    Grandmother of Jeremy Banfield, Melissa (Matthew) Patterson, Jessica Banfield, Ryan Milner, McKenzie Milner, Alex Maker and Joe Maker.  Ruth graduated from Troy High School in 1959 with a full ride scholarship to Wayne State for music, but chose to get married and start her family in Clawson, Michigan.      Ruth was an amazing wife and mother and dedicated her life to raising her family.    She was an active member at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Waterford and loved to read, watch the Tigers and loved to decorate her home as she watched HGTV quite often!     Her big smile will be missed by her loving family and friends.    A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at St. Andrews Church, 5301 Hatchery Road, Waterford, Michigan.     Gathering at 10:30 a.m., service starting at 11:00 a.m. and  a luncheon immediately following.
