Ruth Marilyn (Hazlett) Rowe joined her Savior in heaven on December 24, 2019 at the age of 79, after a battle with lymphoma. Ruth is predeceased by her father, Rev. John Hazlett, her mother, Gladys (Grimes) Hazlett, and her brother Rev. Paul Hazlett. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Dean Rowe. They were married in Pontiac, MI, on March 12, 1960. Ruth is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Wendy (Charles) Stricklin of Waterford, MI; Paula (Daniel) Brown of Stamford, CT; and Denise (Stephen) Schwartz of Terre Haute, IN. Ruth delighted in her eight precious grand children: Megan Stricklin of Clarkston, MI; Jessica Stricklin of Waterford, MI; Franklin Brown of Kalamazoo, MI; Margaret Brown, of Storrs, CT; Elizabeth Brown of Newark, Delaware; Kristin Schwartz of Indianapolis, IN; Broderick Schwartz of Iowa City, IA; and Kathryn Schwartz of Terre Haute, IN. Ruth is also survived by her brother, Rev. John (Mary) Hazlett of Oak Park Heights, MN, her sister-in-law Carol (Guterman) Hazlett of St. Petersburg, FL, and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was born in Lima, OH on July 11, 1940. Her family moved to Pontiac in 1942. She graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1958. Ruth attended the Pontiac Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, where she met and married the love of her life, Dean Rowe. They moved to Waterford, Michigan in 1963, where they raised their three daughters. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending their various activities and praying for them daily. With her husband, she was very involved at Five Points Community Church, where she loved to fellowship and encourage others by sending uplifting notes and cards to a multitude of people.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Five Points Community Church Building Fund
