COOK, RUTH E. of Waterford, passed away after a brief illness on February 22, 2021 at 84 years of age. Loving wife of the late Robert W. for 48 years; beloved mother of David (Gail) Cook and Jane Cook; cherished grandmother of Olivia, Evelyn, Ava, and Renee. Preceded in death by her loving parents Wallace and Helen Baumann, and brothers Wallace and Charles Baumann. A graduate of Wayne State University with a bachelor's degree in music education, Ruth worked as a teacher for the Waterford School District retiring at age 80 after 50 years of dedicated service. She was an active and faithful member of First Church of the Brethren. Ruth was a social butterfly always on the go with friends and family for lunch, shopping, or playing games. But most important to Ruth was her loving family. She will be missed for her high energy and bright smile.
