BENAVIDEZ, RUDOLPH "RUDY" of Waterford, passed away August 25, 2023 at 74 years of age. Loving son of Micaela (née Garcia) and the late Louis Benavidez; cherished brother of Rebecca Benavidez and Virginia Bair. Rudy was a generous and kind man who loved his family and cherished his Bible. In 1976 at the age of 17 and with his father's leadership, Rudy and his dad formed Boy Scout Troop 1in Oakland County for special need boys. A venture they would do for 35 years.  Rudy was a Lionel train collector; an animal lover with his cats, dogs, birds, and turtles; a sharp mind and memory he self proclaimed family alarm clock, no one was to be late for work. He will be dearly missed for his whistling of "Michael Row Your Boat Ashore" and will remain in the hearts and minds of his family forever. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 1 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Family will receive friends Wednesday 12 noon until time of service.
