MANNOR, RONALD EUGENE, age 80 of Orchard Lake, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He was born on October 30, 1940 in Detroit to parents Glenn and Pauline (Smith) Mannor. Ron proudly served in the US Army. He retired from GM after almost 40 years of service and was a longtime member of UAW Local 653. Ron was an avid reader, a U of M football fan, enjoyed watching TV and going to the movies. He also loved traveling, taking cruises, and spending time at the water feeding the ducks and squirrels. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Liz Mannor; brothers: Robert Mannor, Steve Field, Mike (Joy) Field, Larry Field, and Jeff (Cindy) Field; brother-in-law, Tom (Charlene) Gale; sister-in-law, Rosemary Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents. A funeral service will take place at 1pm on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – Waterford. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11am. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to the Michigan Humane Society in memory of Ron.
