Ronald Albert Fett, born on March 8, 1936, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 88. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Ron married the love of his life, Janet, on October 10, 1959. Together, they built a life filled with love, faith, and devotion. Their marriage was a testament to the strength of their bond and a source of joy for all who knew them.
Ron was a man of great faith and served as a part-time organist for several churches throughout his life. He was affiliated with Historic Trinity Lutheran Church where he shared his musical talents in the choir.
Ron served with distinction as a police officer for the City of St. Clair Shores for 25 years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community. His work in law enforcement was marked by his dedication, integrity, and willingness to serve others.
Known as "Mr. Fix-It," Ron had a natural ability for repairing and improving things. He was always ready to lend a hand to family and friends.
As a family, the Fetts enjoyed camping and traveling. This continued after retirement. Ron and Janet enjoyed spending time in Naples, Florida, as snowbirds. He loved finding peace and joy in the outdoors.
Ronald's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. He was a man of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith, and he will be greatly missed.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Janet; their children Linda (the late Bob) Schrupp and Ken Fett; grandchildren Kimberly (Steve) Bozzo, Matthew (Emma) Schrupp, Brandon (Brooke) Schrupp, Kevin (Lauren) Schrupp, Steven and Natalie Fett; great-grandchildren Austin, Ashlyn, and Ava Bozzo, Charlotte, Harper, and Luke Schrupp, and Lucy Schrupp, and another one on the way; and sister Karen (John) Johnson. A Memorial Service will be held at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in Detroit on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford, Michigan.
