SNELLING, ROGER E. of Waterford, passed away January 13, 2022 at 83 years of age. Loving husband of Beverly for 62 years; dear father of David (Mary) Snelling, Michael (Ana) Snelling, and Sherry (Bob) Simpson; grandfather of Andrew (Lauren), Katlin (Joseph) Zarnick, Jordan, Trevor, Molly, Carol (Angus), Anthony, and Roger (fiancé Elizabeth); great grandfather of Zayden, Maddox, Mila, Dominic, Allistair, and Bastion; brother of Richard (Joyce) Snelling; preceded in death by siblings Charles Snelling and Norma Hanks. Roger retired from the Village of Lake Orion in 2001 after 30 years of service. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and dogs. Busy in his retirement he was the family "Mr. Fix It" in construction, welding, and any project that needed to be done. He developed a knack for cooking and purchasing gadgets that were "only found on TV". He will be dearly missed for his clever one liners, a wisecrack for every occasion, and nicknames for everyone he loved. He will be lovingly missed by his family and friends. Private service will be held.
