ROD' of Bloomfield Hills, passed away May 23, 2018 at 73 years of age. Born in Hustisford, WI on Sept. 8, 1944 to the late Frank and Elaine Holmes. Beloved husband of Sandra for 53 years; loving father of Bonnie (Kenneth) Hopkins and Rhonda (Scott) Sundermeyer; proud Papa of Julia, Andrew, Alec, Dawson, Rebecca, Kendall and Delaney; caring brother of Linda Holmes, Martha (John) Galvin and Donna Holmes. Rod enjoyed a long automotive career starting at GM after his graduation from The University of Wisconsin, and ending as President of IEE Automotive. He was very active with his churches in both Michigan and Florida. Some of his passions included travel, classic cars and motorcycles. Rod invested in the lives of everyone he knew and had a mentoring spirit. Above all, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his family.
