SCHAAR, ROBERT NELSON, age 80 of Clarkston, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. He was born on June 12, 1941 in Pontiac to parents Nelson and Grace (Canfield) Schaar. Robert retired from Williams International as supervisor after 38 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing and was a talented organist. Robert is survived by his sisters: Marjorie (the late Gordon) Shelton, Norma (the late Jack) Matich, and Geraldine (Ken) Palmer; step-grandchildren: Matthew Hurst and Shannon (Dan) Drobot; special nephews and caretaker, Larry Armstrong and several other nieces and nephews; and best friend, Larry Lotan. He was preceded in death by both parents, and stepdaughter, Tammie (Don) Hurst. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 4-8pm. Interment at Hillview Cemetery.
