HRYNYK, ROBERT ("Pops") GEORGE of Waterford, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 86 years of age. He was born on October 28, 1937, in Pontiac to late parents Alexander and Stella Hrynyk. Robert proudly served in the National Guard for 8 years. Met his wife Barbara at Dell's bar and they were married August 22, 1964.  Robert retired from General Motors as a Draftsman and supervisor after 42 years of dedicated service. In his free time he enjoyed building hot rods and was a member of the Michigan Hot Rod Association and the Pontiac Shifters. Robert loved remembering fun times of going up north to "The Hill" with his family and friends, walking very early at the mall, and also a cold beer in his garage.

Husband to Barbara (Piet) of nearly 60 years; proud father to Michael Hrynyk and Christine (Kurt) Mathes; brother to Pat (the late Bruce) Robinson; and very loved grandfather to Alexa Mathes, and Daniel Mathes.  Pops always encouraged his family and friends to smile and know that he was "Just livin' it up!" and that "Everyday is a Holiday!"
