Richard Alan Wilson January 27, 1955 – August 26, 2025

Richard Alan Wilson, age 70, of Clarkston, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, Richard was the son of James "Doc" and Joanne McClain Wilson. He was raised in Pontiac before moving to Waterford, where he attended Waterford Mott High School and graduated with the Class of 1973.

Richard met in elementary school, reconnecting in 1987, and married the love of his life, Suzan Elizabeth Guzak, on September 25, 1995. He was a dedicated employee of General Motors for over 44 years, working as a trimmer, in the paint department, and in quality control.

Richard had a passion for coin collecting, gardening, and swimming. He also had a deep appreciation for classic cars and enjoyed spending time with his plants and around water.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Suzan Wilson; two daughters, Tisha Bennett and Jennifer Day (Scott); and three grandchildren: Dream (Trevor) Broyles, Sky Flansburg, and Tivona Reaver; his brother, Jay Wilson; and sister, Pam Wilson.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Joanne Wilson.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Coats Funeral Home in Waterford, Michigan.
