of Clarkston, formerly of Troy, surrounded by his family, passed away January 15, 2016 at 78 years of age. Loving husband of Lea for 54 years; dear father of Kirk (Barbara) Lawitzke, Darren (Janice) Lawitzke, and Kelly Parker; grandfather of Nicholas, Taylor, Tarah, Jack, Cade, Paige, Jayme, Nathan, Dylan, and Meghan; brother of Sandra (Gerald Shohan) Clemons. Preceded in death by siblings Douglas Lawitzke and Karen Pearce. Also survived by a loving family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dick was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He retired from AAA in 2000 after 39 years of service. He loved sports and was a regular spectator at all of his grandchildrenrsquo;s events. In closing, Dick would like in lieu of flowers, 'Vote Republican.'
