Richard Kennedy of Rancho Mirage, CA passed away May 22, 2019. He was the loving husband of the late Elaine (Connor) Kennedy. He is survived by daughter Robin (Don) Gierlach and son Christopher Kennedy, and grandchildren Nick Gierlach, Kayleigh Gierlach, Rebecca Gierlach, Katherine Kennedy, Patrick Kennedy and Phillip Kennedy. He was preceded in death by first wife Ruth Ann Kennedy. After earning his Masters in Math from USC, Richard moved to Michigan and worked in the automotive industry until his retirement. His later years were spent happily sailing, snowboarding and spending time with friends and his wife Elaine. He loved playing croquet and competed in several tournaments at his home in Bayfield, Ontario and then later in Rancho MIrage, CA. He will be dearly missed by his family, and always remembered as a kind and gracious man who made life an adventure every day.
