HUGHES, RICHARD A. "Dick" of Grand Blanc, formerly of Davison, passed away November 13, 2023 at 85 years of age. Loving husband of the late Jean (née Christian) Hughes for 48 years; dear father of Debra Marceau, Tammy (Jerry) James, Tracy (Daryl) Blank, Scott (Bailey) Hughes, and the late Richard Hughes, Jr.; grandfather of 9; great grandfather of 15; brother of Dessa; preceded in death by 4 siblings. Dick was a veteran of the US Army and retired from GM in 1994 after 30 years of service. He and Jean attended Lake Louise Church of the Nazarene in Ortonville for many years.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing but what he truly loved was building. He could do anything related to construction and if you wanted it, he could build it. With a great sense of humor, Dick was a pro at one liners and presented his Kroger card to every business hoping for a discount. He will be loved and cherished forever. Funeral service will be Friday, November 17, 2023 at 6 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Hwy. Family will receive friends Friday 4 PM until time of service.
