JONES, RENA MAE, age 88 formerly of Troy, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022. She was born on February 7, 1934 to parents Albert Ellsworth King, Jr. and Catherine Lorene (Tuggle) King. Rena was born in Normal, Illinois the oldest of four children, and her family moved to Detroit when she was just two years old. At 20 years old she married the love of her life, Ronald T. Jones. They lived in Germany for two years while he was stationed overseas with the Army. Together they had two beautiful children. Rena worked for Fidelity Bank for 25 years in different positions and retired at the age of 72.  Rena was an avid crafter and a very talented seamstress. She was a faithful woman and was most recently a member of Waterford Church of Christ. More than anything, she cherished her family and loved her grandchildren. Rena is survived by her daughter, Julie (the late John M.) Boag; grandchildren: Nicole (Curtis) Storm, Damian (Stephanie) Jones, and John T. Boag; great grandchild: Alexander Storm; brother: A. Robert (Cherry) King; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Ronald T. Jones; son, Jeffrey T. Jones; siblings: M. June (Bill) Leary and A. Richard (Janet) King. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, December 26, 2022 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10am until the time of service. Private interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to God's Helping Hands or Michigan Christian Youth Camp (MCYC) in honor of Rena.
