He married the former Margaret Dean on June 24, 1946 in Birmingham, Michigan. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Margaret Nixon; two children, Chris (Pam) Nixon and Shannon (Terry) Jacobson; three grandchildren, Dan (Beth) Nixon, Mark Nixon and Kyle Jacobson; two great grandchildren, Roy and Della Nixon. Raymond was a graduate of Baldwin High School in Birmingham and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp Ferrying Squadron during WWII. He was the founder of R.F. Nixon Associates and spent many years in Metal Cutting Machinery Sales. He attended Lakeview Community Church.
