of Waterford died November 11, 2018 at 87 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Carol; loving father of Cheryl (James) Charters, Steven (Debra) Fleisher, Tammy (Randy) Lloyd and Scott Fleisher (Christie Kimura). Loving brother to Leroy (Brigett) Fleisher. Grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, great great grandfather to 4. Loving uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, brother in law to many, and friend to all that met him. Ray was a proud US Navy veteran of the Korean Era and would tell many stories of his time at sea. He served in the USS James C. Owens (DD-776) and the USS Charles P. Cecil (DDR-835). Prior to enlisting Ray had many jobs he would talk about, one of his first was as a Bellhop at a hotel in Port Huron. After leaving the US Navy, Ray went to work for Grand Trunk Railroad, retiring in 1992 with over 30 years. Ray always a great provider, sometimes worked 2 or more jobs at the same time. One of these was working as part of the chainsaw gang that helped clear the path for I-75 north of Waterford. Ray was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Especially that smile.
