WENDLAND, PAUL GEORGE, age 84 of Waterford, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021. He was born on November 10, 1936 in Pontiac to parents George and Nettie Grace Wendland. Paul proudly served for six years with the National Guard and later retired from GM after 30 years of service. He enjoyed several outdoor activities like fishing, target shooting, hunting, and spending time relaxing on the water. He was a proud lifetime member of the NRA. Paul also loved traveling, woodworking, and reading. More than anything, he cherished good company and spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Janette Wendland (nee Weber); son, Russell (Victoria) Wendland; grandchildren: Danielle (Thomas III) Angott and Hollie Wendland; great grandchildren: Thomas Angott IV and Delaney Angott. He was preceded in death by both parents, and siblings: Jack Wendland, Dorothy Fellows, and Martha Watson. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Peace Lutheran Church in Waterford, Pastor Russell Tkac officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 4-8pm at Coats Funeral Home - Clarkston, and again on Wednesday at church, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Peace Lutheran Church in memory of Paul.
