VERHEY, PAUL A. of Clarkston, passed away at home, September 15, 2022 at 86 years of age. Loving husband of Janice Joy (Mabry) for 66 years; dear father of Dale (Carol) Verhey and Connie (Chris) Verhey-Avison; grandfather of Nick Verhey and Patrick Avison; brother of the late John Verhey. Paul was born at home in Drayton Plains, Michigan to Peter and Carrie (Bosma) Verhey in 1935. A 1954 graduate of Waterford Township High School, he married the love of his life Joy after their meeting at a Community of Christ Youth Group. Paul worked 25 years for Detroit Edison and in 1976 he founded and operated Clarkston Auto Body with his son, Dale and retired in 1991. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community of Christ Church, 1990 Crescent Lake Road, Waterford, 48327. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at the Fountains Golf and Banquet Center (6060 Maybee Road Clarkston, MI 48346).
