Patricia Ann Shampine, affectionately known as Pat, Patty, Aunt Patty, Mom, and Nana, passed away on October 26, 2026 peacefully at home at the age of 79 surrounded by the love of family.
Born on August 28, 1947, in Clifford, Michigan, Patricia was the daughter of George Paul McSkulin and Betty Jane Antis McSkulin. She grew up in Pontiac, Michigan, graduating from Pontiac Northern High School in 1965. She spent most of her adult life in Clarkston and Waterford, Michigan, and recent years in Schell City, Missouri.
Patricia was loving mother to Robert Shampine, Jr.; grandmother to Gavin and Sophia; sister to Georgia (the late Jerry) Fields and Debi (Robert) Rutzen; aunt to Don Davis, Dawn (Ron) Lyons, Dane (Tracie) Davis, Courtney (Jay) Miller and Bettyjane (Glen) Sadler, and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the father of her son, Robert Shampine, Sr., and daughter-in-law, Kristen Shampine.
Throughout her life, Patricia was known for her strong work ethic, generous spirit, and dedication to those she loved. Above all she will be remembered for her heart of gold and the meaningful relationships she built. She had a special way of connecting with others, and the friendships she formed were an important part of her life.
Patricia found happiness in the little things in life. She loved movies and music and was an avid collector of both. She was also an enthusiastic collector of Boyds Bears, Coca-Cola memorabilia, Betty Boop keepsakes, Santa bears and other nostalgic items that not only reflected her personality but also brought her great joy; which became part of what family and friends knew and loved about her.
Among Patricia’s most cherished traditions were celebrating holidays with family, baking Christmas cookies, going to movies, having sleepovers with her grandchildren, and spoiling them every chance she got.
Though she will be deeply missed, Patricia’s memory will live on through the family she loved, the traditions she created, and the countless moments of laughter, kindness and love she shared throughout her 79 years.
