Patricia "Patty"
Ann (Mount) Edwards
Feb 12, 1951 — Jul 12, 2022
EDWARDS, PATRICIA ANN, "PATTY" of Waterford, passed away unexpectedly July 12, 2022 at 71 years of age. Loving wife and soul mate of Gary L. Edwards for 52 years; beloved mother of Daniel (Jennifer) Edwards of Ann Arbor and Troy (Sarah) Edwards of Agoura Hills, California; nurturing memaw and grandma of Zachary, Jacob, Oliver, and Harper; devoted sister of Susan (Norman) Davis; cherished sister-in-law of Jane (Gerald) Ostrom; also survived by her Aunt Karen and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Clarence and Catherine, Uncle Jim, grandparents Carl and Olga, in-laws Walter (Skee) and Barbara as well as many other special family and friends. Patty was a 1969 graduate of Waterford Kettering High School. Gary and Patty were married in June 1970 at Community Presbyterian Church where they continued to be loyal, long time members. She participated in the handbell choir and also worked as the church treasurer for 28 years. Her organizational skills were well known, as well as her abundant love and caring for others, often placing her own needs second. Cooking, baking, and entertaining were her specialties, and she did so with pure joy and much love. Proud of her heritage, her Norwegian pancakes, desserts, and pastries as well as other sweet treats of all kinds were legendary. She also looked forward to her friends and family time making cherished memories in the great outdoors of the Keweenaw Peninsula, at a special place called Bete Gris. Patty was always very loyal to her family as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, and best friend. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, their biggest cheerleader and supporter. She will always be remembered for the concern of others and kindness; nurturing leadership by sheltering, guiding, modeling, advocating; quick to laugh with friends and family; and a great listener but even better storyteller. No one will ever replace her but the qualities that you remember her by will live on through others. "The Celebration of Patty's Life" service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11 AM at Community Presbyterian Church, 4301 Monroe Ave., Waterford, MI., 48329. Family will receive friends Wednesday at 10 AM until time of service. A luncheon will follow the service and all are welcome. PLEASE in lieu of flowers, consider a donation in her name to any of her favorite organizations.
