Patricia Jean
Allan
Apr 26, 1926 — Oct 20, 2024
Patricia "Pat" Jean Allan, 98, of Waterford, passed away on October 20, 2024. Born on April 26, 1926, in Pontiac, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late Webster and Juaneita Simmons (Sherman). Pat was the beloved wife of Robert Wesson Allan, with whom she shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Patricia is survived by her children, Lynne (the late Ewald) Beregsasy, Gary Allan, David (Kim) Allan, and Sharon Arkles. She was a proud grandmother to Kristen (Jake) Estkowski, Erin (Hoyt Preis) VerHage, Matthew (Kristen Grant) Allan, Katie (Gary) Sparks, Elizabeth (Matthew) Kutchey, and Scott (Amber) Arkles; great-grandmother to Madisyn, Trenton (Rachel), Rylee, Molly, Savannah, Brady, Bowen, Lila, Halle, Alex, Liliana, and Chloe. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her great-great-grandchild, Harper, due in February. A devoted cousin, aunt, and Godmother to Dianne Craig, Patricia was a cherished member of her extended family.
She graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1944, where she met Robert, her lifelong partner, and they married on October 12, 1946. Patricia worked as an office manager for the city of Pontiac, until she retired after 25 years of service. In her free time, Pat enjoyed camping and traveling, spending winters as a snowbird in Arcadia Park, Florida. She was passionate about giving back, making blankets for those in need, and cherished her time spent reading, proudly keeping her library card well into her later years. Her remarkable adaptability kept her technologically savvy.
Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. A committal service will take place at a later date at Ottawa Park Cemetery.
