SMITH, NANCY JUNE, of Auburn Hills, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 73 years old. Nancy was born in Sweet Home, Oregon on October 18, 1949, to parents David Oscar and Winifred Beatrice (Noyes) Stokes.

She was a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 377, and she had a major passion for helping anyway she could. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed playing bingo and going bowling. Most importantly, Nancy will be remembered as a loving wife and proud mother.

Nancy is survived by her children: Carl Knight, David (Michelle) Kleberg, Christie (John) Mielke, and Dennis (Jaclyn) Smith; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and her siblings: Phyllis Walker and Gloria Kincaid.

Nancy is preceded in death by her siblings: Linda Elkins, Larry Stokes, and William Stokes; both parents: and her husband, Dennis Earl Smith, Sr.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Waterford Center Cemetery. Immediately following, the family has invited guests to American Legion Auxiliary Post 377 (4819 Mary Sue Ave, Clarkston) for a luncheon.
