ROBINSON, MILLIE JOAN, of Auburn Hills, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday August 4, 2019 at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac Michigan, at the age of 79, the same hospital where she earned her nursing degree. Millie was born November 2, 1939 in Pontiac Michigan. Her parents David Newton Robinson and Madeleine (Walsh) Robinson preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister Charlene (Robinson) Gill, Chars husband Chloral (Red) and sister Grace Larrison.Mill was the go to listening ear for advice and suggestions whether you wanted it or not, but it was always done with a loving and caring heart. She had many lifelong friends. We are going to miss those long phone conversations that usually ended in prayer if we hadn't already prayed during the visit. Most of all Mill would speak of a loving God and her desire to walk in the path of righteousness. Mill made her first Holy Communion on May 18, 1947 at St. Michael Church in Pontiac. She also attended school at "St. Mikes".Mills nursing career took her to Pontiac State Hospital in the very early years, then on to Clinton Valley. She at one time worked for a family doctor in Lake City, Mi. She also worked at several psychiatric/assisted living facilities in the Pontiac area and also up north in Cadillac.Mill is survived by her brother David N. Robinson (Susan) of Lake City, ten nieces and nephews who loved, laughed, prayed and cried with their Aunt Mill and many great and great- great nieces and nephews who thought she was pretty swell .A celebration of Mill's life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at COATS FUNERAL HOME, located at 3141 Sashabaw Rd. Waterford, MI 48329, beginning at 10 a.m. to 11:00 am for visitation, followed by a funeral mass 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Luncheon to follow from 12:30 to 3:30 at Overtime Grill & Tap Room (4724 Dixie HwyWaterford, MI 48329).
