Loving husband of Joan for 67 years; dear father of Michael (Christine) Mason, Gordon (Nancy) Mason, Gary (Debby) Mason, and Marcia (Bruce) Mercado; grandfather of 10; great grandfather of 17. Milford received his degrees from Alma College, where he played basketball and received his masters degree from Michigan State University in education. He was a National Guardsman, teacher, administrator, coach, and retired as superintendant of Clarkston School District. He was an avid sports fan.
