Obituary

Michael Barry Richards, age 72, of Davisburg, MI went home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2021.  Born August 3, 1949 to Stan & Iris Richards in Wellesley/Boston, MA. Michael graduated from Hull High School, Hull, MA and went on for classes at the community college. After graduation, he went to London, England with his best friend and music partner, Howard Shore (deceased) where they had a brief contract with Apple Records. Music was a big part of his life.

He was an avid, voracious reader, that finished 1-2 novels per week.

Michael Barry Richards enlisted in the United States Air Force, and was later honorably discharged.

For the last 4 years, he was a member of, and had many friends at the Lost Lake Woods Club, in Lincoln, MI. He was a member of the Oakland County Sportsman's Club, and was an excellent marksman. He also was a member of USCCA; and actively donated to the Wounded Warrior Foundation & T2T.

He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Richards; his brothers Tony Richards (Trenna); and Tony's children- Samantha, (twins) Katherine & Rebecca, and also  Emory; his brother Rick Richards (Ann Marie) and Rick's children Jamie, Jennifer & Scott; brother-in-law, William A. Ruelle Jr. (& Ronnie Jacek Ruelle), Bill's children, Brandon, Erica, Samantha; brother-in-law, Robert Joseph (& Maggie Lyn) Ruelle, Bob's children Melanie, Christopher & Emily:  and pre-deceased by twin brother-in-laws, the late James Jerome Ruelle, Jim's son Kevin,  and the late Thomas Boyd Ruelle; pre-deceased by his sister-in-law Christina Anne Rourke-Ruelle.

After years in the restaurant business in Boston, MA & LA, CA; he started his own business in Michigan, Mickey & T's Rubs & Spices, Inc. and was a true proud entrepreneur. He ran Mickey & T's for the last 27 years.

Michael will be deeply missed by his family, many special nieces & nephews, friends, the craft show community, and the many "crafter friends" he made after doing craft shows for 27 years.

Visitation & Wake will be at Coats Funeral Home, Waterford, MI on Sunday, November 28th from 4:00pm -9:00pm. A Memorial Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church at 10:00am Monday, November 29th with Interment at All Saints Cemetery.
