FOUKES, MICHAEL JOSEPH, age 79, of Waterford, passed away April 25, 2021. He was born on March 16, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, son to the late Harry and Lazetta Foukes (nee Mercier). Loving husband of Sharon for 35 wonderful years; stepfather of James Scott Davis; brother of Joseph (Josephine) Foukes and Ann (Robert) Kowalik; uncle of Janice (Tom) Glover and Jerri (Greg) Somervell, Matthew Foukes, Robert Kowalik, Christopher Kowalik and Kimberly Kowalik, also survived by two great nephews and one great niece. Michael served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. A graveside service will be held at White Chapel Cemetery on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at Coats Funeral Home- Waterford from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Memorial donations in Michael's name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
