of Clarkston, passed away April 12, 2016 at 68 years of age. Loving husband of Linda for 44 years; dearest father of Melissa Downs and Amanda (Bill) Downs-Gasser; grandfather of Casey, Sadie, and Grace. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Mike was a veteran of the US Marine Corps- Vietnam, and retired from the City of Ferndale Fire Department as a firefighter. Mike was a quiet, humble man who was an avid reader and history buff. He loved and adored his family and he was very 'handy' to have around.
