HUMPHREY, MELBA MAXCEIN, (nee Burns), age 88, of Clarkston, passed away April 30, 2022. She was born on June 15, 1933, in Wilson, Arkansas, daughter to the late William and Notra Burns (nee Hogan). Loving wife of the late Festus Carl; dear mother of Theresa (Bruce) Olson, Karen (Jim) Lidgard, the late Mike Humphrey and the late Denise (Bob) Cordell; proud grandmother of 12; great grandmother of 8; sister of Faye (Roger) Smith, Benny (June) Burns, Jo Ette (Kenny) Thaser, and Charlotte (Danny) Hendley. Melba enjoyed puzzles, sewing and had the gift of gab, but treasured her time with her family above all. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, 11:00 AM at Coats Funeral Home- Clarkston, 8909 Dixie Highway. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment Ottawa Park Cemetery, in Clarkston, Michigan. Memorial donations in Melba's name may be made the St. Jude Tribute Program.
