Obituary

Melanie Merle Meek, age 11, passed away on February 20, 2026. Born on May 12, 2014, in Ann Arbor, Melanie was the cherished daughter of Terry Allen and Karen Cathleen Meek. Melanie was the beloved sister of Alisha Ruth Meek and Jacob Lee Meek. She was also dearly loved by her aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends. Melanie had a bright spirit and a heart full of joy. She loved music and could often be found singing and dancing around the house. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles to everyone she met. Melanie gave the very best hugs and shared them generously. She enjoyed playing Roblox and Minecraft, and she also loved older childhood games like playing "Ring Around the Rosie." Melanie adored unicorns, pony rides, and treasured the special memories she made during a family trip to Walt Disney World. Melanie had a fondness for her favorite foods, including sour cream and onion potato chips, shells and cheese, pepperoni pizza, and a cold glass of orange juice. She also loved playing with her dolls and Barbies, filling her days with imagination and creativity. Melanie's joyful spirit, loving heart, and beautiful smile will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
