MARNEY, MEI LAN "Kathy"of Lake Orion, went to be with the Lord August 14, 2022 at 89 years of age. Loving mother of Susan (Robert) Marney-Prediger, Steven (Kimberly) Marney, and Mei (Mark) Smith; grandmother of Katie and Phillip (Andrea). Kathy was born, raised, and educated in Hong Kong. After earning her nursing degree she moved to London, England, where she met and married the father of her children and later emigrating to the United States. Kathy loved her family and chosen profession, and spent many years as a private practice nurse living and traveling with her patients and their families. Following retirement, her love of travel would take her around the world; cruises on the Three Cunard Queens – Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth, and Queen Mary 2; she provided colorful and educational commentary on tours of the Far East. She maintained lifelong friends from around the world and next door. A very relationship oriented person, Kathy made everyone feel special and valued. She is home with Jesus having lived a full and blessed life.
