BERGIN, MARYANN C. (nee Carey), age 85, of Clarkston, passed away April 13, 2024. She was born on June 22, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter to the late Howard and Margaret Carey (nee Ryan). Loving wife of Fred for 54 wonderful years; dear mother of Michael (Theresa) Ferguson, Robert (R. Bender) Ferguson, Julie (Charles) Hensley, and Scott (Andrea) Bergin; proud grandmother of Ryan, Michele, Christopher (Alexandria), Craig (Erin), Stephanie, Shannon, Brian and Matthew; great grandmother of Parker, Carter, Claire, Emilia, Addy and Harper. Maryann was an avid golfer with 3 holes in one (Irish Luck). She loved to read, travel and gamble, but cherished her time with family above all. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at Coats Funeral Home- Clarkston; 8090 Dixie Highway. A private chapel service will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Memorial donations in Maryann's name may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program.
