Fran' of Lapeer; died June 22, 2016. She was 93. Born August 11, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Raymond and Gladys (nee: Graves) Sutton. She married the late William 'Bill' Verhines on November 14, 1940 in Detroit. Fran is survived by five children Billie Jean (Dave) McLachlan, James Verhines, Irene (Daniel) Ferriss, Mary Alice (Tom) Mulcahy, John (Brenda) Verhines; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; special friend Robert Gorsline, Sr. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Robinson. Fran provided love and comfort to her children and extended family by respecting their individual needs and personalities. Fran encouraged her children by giving them life valued principles to live by and encouraged them to not dwell on the negatives in life, but to concentrate and be thankful for the little things in life.
