of White Lake, passed away November 11, 2016 at 71 years of age. Mary Lou retired from the Waterford School District in 2001 after 34 years of dedicated service as a teacher and as a principal. She dedicated her life and career to the children of Waterford. She began her teaching career at Burt School in 1967, then to Crescent Lake School; assistant principal at Pierce Jr. High; principal for McVittie and Schoolcraft schools. She would retire and work tirelessly in the Summer Literacy and Mathematics Program until 2008. Her volunteer work and organizations she belonged to were endless; Waterford Elementary Summer Academy, Waterford Rotary; and her greatest love the Waterford Foundation for Public Education. She was devoted to her career, to the students of Waterford, and to all of her friends. Her big smile will never be replaced and she will forever be missed.
