LESPERANCE, MARY HELEN (nee Pilkinton) was born January 4, 1931 and passed away November 16, 2021. Helen's parents were Allen and Lillian Pilkinton. She was a longtime resident of Pontiac, MI. Helen married her next-door neighbor Marcel Lesperance, son of Edward and Emily (nee Farrand) on June 9, 1951. They had a long and happy life together. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2018. Helen was also preceded in death by son in law William Rodriguez. Helen had 6 children, Kimberley (Stephen) Willis of Clifford, MI, Karen (Paul) Dorsey of Warrensburg, MO, Keith Lesperance of Lewiston MI, Kathy (the late William) Rodriguez of Marlette, MI, Kay (Gary) McIntosh of Howell MI, and Kerry (Jeffrey) Longtine of Utica MI. Helen had 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Helen was a graduate of Pontiac High School. She briefly worked for the Kresge Co. after graduation. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, word puzzles and gardening. Helen was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Pontiac for over 60 years. Funeral mass will be Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Damien of Molokai (St. Michael Church) 120 Lewis St., Pontiac. Burial follows All Saints Cemetery, Waterford. Visitation on Sunday 3-6 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Hwy.  The family would like to thank United Hospice of Marlette for the wonderful care Helen received in the last weeks of her life.
