KETVIRTIS, MARY ANNE of Clarkston, passed away November 9, 2019 at 90 years of age. Dear wife of the late John for 50 years; cherished mother of Mary (Harold) Brandon, Sharon (Burl Adkins) Blumeno, Susie Ketvirtis, John (Heidi) Ketvirtis, and the late Anne Marie Halstead (Tom); grandmother of Riley and Ryan. A native and proud Yooper, Mary was a teacher for the Pontiac School District for over 38 years, retiring from Mark Twain School in 1991. She was a creative and devoted teacher, every lesson plan included hands on activities that made her classroom alive with activity and creativity. A social butterfly, she enjoyed evenings out socializing over dinner and dancing, and following John's passing she looked forward to Friday date night. She and John traveled the country, visiting 48 states; and when at home she enjoyed playing the organ or spending time with her sorority sisters in Beta Sigma Phi. Her high energy and enthusiasm will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
