lifetime resident of Ortonville; died November 4, 2015. He was 89. Born December 20, 1925 in Ortonville, Michigan to the late Harry and Winifred (nee: Wolfe) Featherston. He married the former Marilyn Potter on May 8, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn of 67 years; three children, Marva (Joe) Morgan, Marlene Young and Mark Featherston; five grandchildren, Matthew (Simone) Morgan, Elizabeth (David Weingarten) Morgan, Karen (Matt Wilson) Featherston, Katharine Banks and Nathan (Laura) Young; also survived by 8 great grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Finlinson and Donna Ross; he was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Morgan. Marv was a veteran of the U.S. Navy-WWII. He owned and operated Featherston Hardware for 45 years in the Village of Ortonville. He was a member of the Ortonville Masonic Lodge #339 F amp; AM, Ortonville Historical Society, Ortonville Lions Club (Charter Member), charter member of Goodrich County Club. He also formerly served on the Wheelock Hospital Board, Vocational School Advisory Board, Brandon Township Board, Brandon Township Fire Board, Ortonville Village Council, Brandon Township Treasurer, and Brandon Veterans Assn. and served at one time as Fire Departmentrsquo;s Assistant Chief.
