Aranowski
May 7, 1947 — Dec 25, 2021
ARANOWSKI, Marvin John (MARV), Supreme Commander of the Sovereign State of Mastedwa, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021, at 74 years of age. Marv was a proud Polish-American born on May 7, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Edmund and Wanda Aranowski (nee Flaczynski); beloved husband of Lillian for more than 30 wonderful years; cherished father of James (Michelle), Mary Lou (David) Knight, and Poomer (Kelly); proud grandfather to PJ (Amy), Jordan, Megan, Matthew, Michael, Carson, and Trevor; proud great grandfather to Reagan and Jacob; dearest brother of Robert (Roberta), Camille (William) Houck, and Gregory (Terri); beloved Uncle and brother-in-law. Marv received his master's degree from Central Michigan University. He worked and retired from Chrysler as a Material Manager after many years of dedicated service. Marv was a man's man, always there to help anyone in need, with his bible, his gun, and a copy of the constitution on hand. In his free time, he was heavily involved in Cub Scout Pack 135, was Cub Master for Pack 182, a football and hockey coach, never missed his grandchildren's games or dance and pompon recitals, volunteered at Mt. Zion church, and even with cancer, was always helping his family and friends whenever needed. He loved to hunt; he and Lil own property in Shepherd, Michigan which they named Mastedwa Acres after their parents, and that is where he taught his children and grandchildren how to hunt. He even raised a yellow lab, Apollo, to be a Leader Dog for the blind. Marvin's love and dedication will be missed by his family, friends, and community. Family requests donations be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester Hills, Michigan and/or to the American Cancer Society.
