BEST, MARIE ANN; of Waterford; September 29, 2019; at age 89. Born February 21, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan daughter of the late Henry and Marie McBrien. Beloved wife of William "Bill" Franklin Best Sr. for 55 years; loving mother of Gayle (Dan, Jr.) DeRubeis, Debora (Kerry) Hodges, and Bill (Elaine) Best, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Dan (Toni Odette) DeRubeis, III, Andrew (Caitlyn Merkey) Best, Lauren (Kurt) Wagenaar, and Meghan (Steve) Kirchhoff; proud great grandmother of Nathan Best, Matilda Best, Gianna DeRubeis and Marcella DeRubeis; survived by brothers Robert (Mildred) McBrien and Daniel (Linda) McBrien and dearest sister of the late Marjorie McBrien. Marie graduated from Cooley High School located in Northwest Detroit in 1947. She went on to raise a beautiful family along with her husband Bill. During that time she worked as an Underwriter for Great American Insurance Company. She enjoyed bird watching, singing in St. Trinity's Lutheran Church Choir, reading books, gardening and was an amazing seamstress. Above all else, Marie loved and adored her family.
