of Waterford, passed away on October 9, 2016 at the age of 86. Born March 12, 1930 to the late Melvin and Reba Dorries. She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Karin) and Jeffrey (Shawn); 7 grandchildren, brother James Dorries, and sister-in-law Shirley Dorries. Marian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Mason Phelps (September 12, 1928- May 18, 1963) and her dear sweet daughter, Kathryn Sue (March 24, 1956- September 24, 2005), and brother Melvyn Dorries, Jr. She graduated from Pontiac High School in 1947 and worked for the Pontiac City Attorneyrsquo;s Office, retiring in 1993. Marian was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, and a long time participant at the Waterford Senior Center; she also enjoyed traveling, visiting California, Italy, Mexico, and England; along with hiking with her senior group at Isle Royale National Park.
