PIVITT, MARGIE J. (née Gooding) of Royal Oak, passed away March 25, 2023 at 88 years of age. Loving wife of Robert Pivitt for 66 years; dear mother of Laurie Pivitt, Julie (Randy) Azzarello, and Barry (Janice) Pivitt; grandmother of Marc (Aimee) Azzarello, Tim (Ashley) Azzarello, and Sean (Lindsay) Sullivan; great grandmother of Lee and Jimmy Azzarello and Charlotte Sullivan. Predeceased by brothers James and Michael Gooding.

Margie was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Dr. Walton and Grace Gooding. After high school she attended art school in Detroit where she met her husband. Once her children were grown she returned to school and earned a bachelor degree in Art Education from Wayne State University. She taught art and was a substitute teacher in the public schools for several years.  Very artistic and creative, she enjoyed antiquing, quilting, miniature making, crafting, reading and visiting the family cabin up north in her spare time.  She was a wonderful wife and mother who will be dearly missed by her loving family. Private burial will take place at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
