HETHERINGTON, JOYCE of Waterford, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2021 at 87 years of age. Loving wife of the late Gary Hetherington; cherished mother of Craig (Rita) Hetherington, Cori (Jim) Sharrard, and Dawn (Jeff Sharrard) Ball; grandmother of Rick, Adam (Miranda), Drew (Christine), Justin, Travis (Amanda), Kyle (Dayna), Christie (Jeremy), Cody (Casie), and Brooke (Derrick Eshelman) Sharrard ; great grandmother of Jack, Vera, Mason, Isaac, Maxwell, Charlotte, Penelope, Keilor, and twins on the way; sister of the late Charles (Pat) Cowie; survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joyce was a 1951 graduate of Pontiac High School and she organized and attended every class reunion. Joyce was very active person, never letting the grass grow under her feet. She golfed; monthly lunches with friends; and time spent with her grandchildren. Her family, a lifetime of childhood friends, and her precious dog Millie, all of them meant everything to Joyce. Her warm and open smile will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
