WEILAND, MABEL ANN "Mae," age 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. She was born on February 14, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA to parents Roy and Ella Harris. In 1948 she moved to Michigan. For more than 30 years Mae proudly worked as the only woman on the midnight shift at GM. After retiring in 1985 she moved to Indian River where she resided for several years. She was a member of the UAW, American Legion in Clarkston, and the VFW in Fenton. Mae enjoyed bowling, gardening, canning, ceramics, and cake decorating. She also loved spending time on the water, whether it was swimming or fishing. Of all these things Mae enjoyed doing, she will be remembered most for her honky tonkin' with her favorite drink in hand: Jim Beam and club soda. Mae is survived by her children: Steven, Vickie, Robert, Jamie, and Sherrie; grandchildren: Amanda and David and 4 others; nine great grandchildren; and sister, Ella Mae. She was preceded in death by both parents, sisters: Marion and Phoebe; son, Alan, and grandaugther, Brandee.
